Beauracracy

The KIA has been impounded by police. My truck is under a NO CONTACT order denied to me in a technicality of the order. My next court date is set 3/21.

Vickie lost her car, again.

Friday February 18, Vickie left home on her own in the 2018 KIA Soul about 3pm with no notice to me or anyone else (I know) as to where she was going. I assumed to visit Chris, our son. Tonight, four days later, February 22, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office brought her home claiming that Chris TOOK her car (with her permission?). However, Chris has not had a driver license since 1995. The Deputies told me if he was found he would be arrested immediately and the car impounded. I would be given 24 hours to claim the car before fees might be imposed. Vickie was delivered home by the PCSO department. She has lost her car, again.

Key Found

Ever since I found the car Vickie lost the key. Until yesterday. Thursday afternoon she took off to see Chris. Again. On Wednesday she had one of Chris's friends pick her up. From the afternoon until after midnight she may stay out. I'll call her just to make sure she's okay. It annoys her.

Serious

I went to retrieve the KIA. Neighbors came down to tell me what happened. Vickie sat in their parking space for three hours by herself not moving from the car about 8pm to 11pm... the resident of the apartment she was parking at finally called the Gulfport police about 11:30pm. At that moment Vickie revved the engine and put the car in drive. She jumped the curb, destroyed a planter and slammed into the jalousie entrance door, breaking it and denting the left front fender of the KIA. Police arrived and determined Vickie was having a medical emergency and dispatched an ambulance.

Vickie arrived home about 10:30am. She doesn't remember how she got home. Gulfport Police left her a card and told her how to get her car back. Vickie remembered none of it. She had broken the entrance door to the apartment.

The Gulfport policeman who answered the call January 25th met me at the scene and told me how unresponsive, dazed and confused Vickie was. That's why they called an ambulance. Even after arriving home Vickie could not remember what happened.

Help is being arranged with the Florida Senior Citizens response team. They will interview her for possible therapy and intervention.

I think I found the car

Tonight around 9pm I started testing my ability to hear messages left for Vickie on HER phone. I setup the voice mail and knew the code. I had to guess how to access the system. Finally, listening to 23 messages I discovered a woman who called January 29th claiming Vickie Luck's car was in her lot of a property she managed and to return her call in order to claim the car. Messages to her number were not answered tonight (9:30pm) so tomorrow I will call.

Another caller claimed Vickie hit the door of his condo and left damage.

I have much to do.

Chris's stuff returned

Yesterday Chris picked up a lot of his stuff and Vickie drove away with the stuff in the pickup bed. This morning all of his stuff was back - dumped in the driveway. Didn't see how it got here or when. I will gather his belongings and store them in my backyard with an attempt to protect it all from rain.

Today the state attorney filed charges against Chris and he will probably be found guilty of violating an injunction of protective separation from my address. This is not his first violation of the same statue. He has pleaded guilty to another, similar charge filed by another person.

The state attorney warned me Chris may be sentenced to a year in jail.

KIA Stolen

Since Wednesday Jan. 26 Vickie has claimed she does not know where the car is. She claimed yesterday that she gave the car to Chris. Yesterday he came with police escort to gather some of his belongings. He was on foot. Vickie took him in our Silverado to return to where he is staying. Chris claims he does not know where the car is. Today I called the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office to report the car stolen from our driveway. PSCO report 5022-31590 01/31/2022.  Vickie is now claiming she drove it home. Between 10:30am and noon it was taken. Her phone is in it.

Vickie called police

Woke about noon to hear Vickie screaming "I need a phone!" I went to her bedroom and asked her who she was going to call. She would not tell me. Her phone (I bought for her Dec. 1st) is evidently in the KIA. So is her purse. I asked again, "Where is the car?". She has previously told me it was victim of a "hit and run", "it was stolen", "I don't know where it is". She started to throw an ashtray at me. I closed her door. She then got up, took crutches and went next door to ask our neighbor Bill to call police.

Pinellas County Sheriffs arrived and we spoke with them. She at my neighbor's house and me at home. I told the Deputy about the car. He later told me she said she gave it to Chris. Chris does not have a driver's license. Chris is wearing an anklet that warns if he is within 500 feet of my house.

Vickie has gotten calls from her doctor and the auto insurance company wanting to know why she went to St. Pete General Hospital on January 25th. What happened to the car? Finally Vickie spoke with the auto insurance agent. The report claims the KIA struck a "building" but was not damaged.

I still don't know what happened or why.

I have since discovered that Vickie may have suffered another episode where she appeared to be over-dosed. I think my son and friends may have taken her to St. Pete General Hospital Dec 25th. How this might relate to her "accident" is unknown. By law, I cannot talk to or have any contact with Christian.

She won't talk

Tuesday Vickie went "out" with her KIA and was gone all day and all night. Wednesday morning she came home about 10:30am (while I was taking a nap) and apparently went to bed. She missed her nurse appointment that day since neither she or I answered our phones.

Today (Thursday) Vickie started getting calls from our auto insurance company and her doctor inquiring about Vickie being examined at St. Pete General Hospital. Vickie will not talk to me. She has told me she doesn't know where her car is. My auto insurance shows a reported accident in the KIA on January 25th.

She won't talk.

Narcan scare

Tyler Pedersen, a friend of Christian, came to "visit" my wife on Friday afternoon (Jan. 21). They talked in her room with the door shut then Tyler asked to use my computer to learn which Value Pawn store might still be open. Vickie claimed to not be able to find her car keys so they used the pickup truck to allow Tyler to pawn a bicycle around 7pm.

They did not return until around 9pm where they went to Vickie's room and closed the door again. Abruptly, Tyler rushed out to ask me to watch Vickie and keep her awake until he returned with a Narcan dosage. I sat with Vickie for thirty minutes holding her hand and talking to her to keep her from falling asleep although she did several times, anyway. She slowly began to get her wits.

Tyler returned with a Narcan kit and was relieved to see Vickie awake and lucid.

Now neither one will talk about the incident. Tyler denies it.

I have since concluded that Vickie may have been dehydrated, faint and hungry.
